I found a few craft stores today and they are quite different than in the US.
You walk in and instead of being greeting by aisles and aisles of crafty goodness...you are greeted by a counter with all of the craft supplies stored behind it with some on display on the counter or on the walls. You need to go to the counter and tell the worker what you would like. It was very weird different.
I like to be able to walk around, look at my options, get a good look at stuff, etc. At this store you had to describe what you want and they'd bring out what they thought you were talking about and sometimes they'd have options...sometimes they would not.
I find that complete strange and I think it would ruin some of the fun of the craft experience. I mean isn't it hard to know what you might be able to make or interested in making if you can't see any examples or any ideas in front of you that you can touch and look at? Maybe it's just that I'm used to browsing too much! I also think that Spain craft stores would save me lots of money on projects that I buy here and never do!
